History of Pack 553 Pack 553 has served our community for 35 years and has worked diligently to fulfill our commitment to the youth to help each Cub Scout gain self confidence, strength of character and the commitment to serve others. Pack 553 participates in the Scouting for Food Drive yearly (last year having collected 7,379 canned food items) with only 30 Cub Scouts; we meet on a weekly basis and have monthly Pack meetings, along with various outing and activities throughout the year, including coastal clean-ups, working within the community, growing vegetables in the community garden and family outings and campouts. We have been privileged to have some of our previous Cub Scouts return to our Pack years later to have their sons join Cub Scout Pack 553.
Arrow of Light Over the years, nearly every Webelos Scout has attained that highest rank, Arrow of Light, and has continued their Scouting experience by joining a Boy Scout Troop in our local community and we are extremely proud of all those Cub Scouts who went on to become Eagle Scouts.
